Hello GUPA members,

The GUPA board of Directors have received a letter from the Facility Coordinator of the Field House at Marden.  He has laid some concerns that I want to address to all members of GUPA.  There are 3 main concerns he raised.

1) No outdoor shoes are to be on the track or field at any time.  This includes walking across the track to get to the field to change into cleats.  It also includes changing into cleats and then bringing the out door shoes on to the field.

2) No one is to be on the track when it is rented out to a private group.  Currently it is rented out to a running group between 6 and 7.  This means on one from GUPA is allowed on the track before 7pm to warm up or otherwise.

3) outside of those times, it is open to the public and therefore people could be running on it.  This means no blocking the track, to mingle or change.

The board is asking the following of all of you.  Please use the change rooms to change into your cleats (we’ll ensure the locker rooms are open).  Please leave your outdoor shoes and winter clothes in the changeroom or locker area (lockers are located under the stairs).  If your game is at 7pm, please wait in the mezzanine area or lobby.  Please be respectful of other users of the facility and help GUPA maintain a good relationship with the Marden Staff and community.
